Wimbledon YMCA, Wimbledon

Thornsett have entered into a development agreement with YMCA St Paul’s Group to create a landmark building for Wimbledon. Spread over two phases, Thornsett will deliver 121 bedrooms and associated facilities for the YMCA (Phase 1) alongside 135 apartments and commercial space (Phase 2). This key town centre site, in the heart of Wimbledon, received a resolution to grant at committee in December 2020 and a full consent was achieved in June 2021. Construction on Phase 1 commenced in July 2021 and completed in July 2023. YMCA has now decanted into their new building, and works to demolish the old YMCA began in Sept 2023.
